The International Ibsen Bibliography is a bibliographical database for material by and about Henrik Ibsen. It contains over 25,000 records and is available on Internet.

The International Ibsen Bibliography aims to map and register all literature by and about Henrik Ibsen in order thereby to be an important and useful tool in Ibsen research.

The Bibliography contains references to
  • Henrik Ibsen`s works in the original language and in translation
  • Literature about Ibsen`s life and works in the form of monographs, chapters of books, articles in periodicals and newspapers, doctoral dissertations, dissertations for master`s degrees, theatre programmes
  • Re-writings and parodies of Ibsen`s works
  • Video films, sound recordings and other audio-visual material
The academic responsibility for the Bibliography is vested in the Centre for Ibsen Studies at the University of Oslo.
